- Daniel Luca Vettori is the youngest player to represent New Zealand in Test cricket. He started playing at the age of 18.
- He played his last match against Australia in World Cup Finals.
- Balbir Singh Senior conferred with Major Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award of Hockey India.
- Australia defeated New Zealand to win ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
