  • Delhi Government launched India’s first e-ration card Service.
  • Aapki Beti Humari Beti‘ scheme launched in Haryana.
  • First Kisan Call Centre of North-East opened in Agartala, Tripura.
  • Maharashtra launched Bhagyashree scheme for girl child.
  • Maharashtra Government announced to rename Girgaum Chowpatty as Swaraj Bhoomi.
  • Delhi HC becomes the first court in India to set up commercial courts for speedy disposal of cases.
  • Maharashtra Government announced to make Sale of Gutka a non-bailable offence.

  • Daniel Vettori retired from all forms of International Cricket
    • Daniel Luca Vettori is the youngest player to represent New Zealand in Test cricket. He started playing at the age of 18.
    • He played his last match against Australia in World Cup Finals.
  • Balbir Singh Senior conferred with Major Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award of Hockey India.
  • Australia defeated New Zealand to win ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
    • This is Australia’s fifth World Cup Title.
    • Australia has previously won in 1987,1999,2003,2007
    • Man of the Match – James Faulkner.
    • Man of the Series – Mitchell Starc.
  • Michael Clarke retired from ODI cricket.
    • Michael Clarke retired from One Day Internationals (ODI) after final match of 2015 Cricket World Cup. He will continue to represent Australia in the Test matches.
    • Clarke scored 74 runs  in his final ODI appearance against New Zealand in the World Cup final helping Australia win the OWrld Cup.
  • Saina, Srikant won India Open Super Series Badminton Women’s & Men’s Singles titles.
  • Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara announced retirement from Test cricket.
  • Kumar Sangakkara created history by scoring four successive centuries in a Cricket World Cup.
  • Karnataka clinched eighth Ranji title of cricket.
  • Kidambi Srikanth won the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold title of Badminton.
  • Services won the 69th edition of Santosh Trophy of Football.
  • Lewis Hamilton of Britain won Australian Grand Prix of Formula One.
  • Sri Lankan duo Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara retired from ODI cricket.
  • Mahendra Singh Dhoni became first Indian Captain to register 100 ODI wins.
  • Pakistani cricketers Misbah-ul-Haq, Shaid Afridi retired from ODI cricket.
  • Martin Guptill scored the highest-ever score of 237 in Cricket World Cup.
  • Novak Djokovic won Indian Wells Open Tennis Men’s Singles title.
  • Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis won the women doubles title of BNP Paribas Tennis Open.
