  3. Periyar Tiger Reserve won National Tiger Conservation Authority  biennial award. The award was for encouraging local public participation in managing the reserve
  4. National Green Tribumal gave directions to clean Yamuna under ‘Mailey se Nirmal Yamuna’ Revitalization Plan 2017.
  5. Sultanpur National Park shut down after migratory birds found dead.
  6. Chrysopelea taprobanica, the Sri Lankan flying snake, was seen in Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve for first time.
