IBPS Result for Specialist Officers exam
IBPS conducted examination for Specialist Officers recruitment on 14th and 15th February 2015. The IBPS SO exam is conducted annually for 19 PSU banks. Candidates compete for various Job Posts like IT officer, Marketing Officer, Law officer etc. Around 2.5 lakhs candidates appeared for the exam this year. The candidates are eagerly waiting for the IBPS result to be out. Majority of the candidates have applied for IT Officer post making it the most competitive post.
IBPS SO Exam Pattern:
The examination was an objective type of 2 hours duration. The IBPS SO 2015 exam was conducted online. The Test had equal number of questions from Professional Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning and English. There was one-fourth negative marking every wrong answer. Result and Cut- Off:
Last year , the cut-off for IBPS SO for IT Officer post was 134. The difficulty level of this year’s exam was moderate. So the cut-off will be in the range of 130-145 for IT Officer. There is also a sectional cut-off. Each section has to be qualified individually as well.
As per the sources, the result for the exam will be out in the last week of February 2015. After the declaration of the result, the candidates will be issued call-letters for Interview. Only the successful candidates will be called for the interviews. Only half of them will be declared successful in final-merit. There are very limited posts for Specialist Officers each year. Last year, around only 400 posts of IT officers were filled by 19 PSU banks.So, there is intense competition in IBPS SO exam.
