IBPS SO interview 2015 is starting from 15th March 2015. There is a lot of tension and excitement in the every candidate’s mind regarding what the Interview Board is gonna ask. Well,  as per the Previous years trends, it is going to be a normal Bank PO interview where the focus will be on Banking GK and Current Affairs. Topics that can be asked in IBPS SO Interview 2015:

Pahal – DBTL:

  • This scheme was launched for LPG consumers . The modified scheme is referred to as Pratyaksh Hanstantarit Labh or PAHAL DBTL (Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG).
  • How to receive LPG subsidy?

    Two Options:

    Option 1

    With Aadhar: Customers have to get the number linked to the bank account to receive the subsidy.

    Option 2

    Without Aadhar: If a consumer does not have his Aadhar number, he can get the subsidy by linking his bank account with the LPG connection ID.

     

  • Benefits of PAHAL:

    • For LPG consumers: The difference of amount between  subsidised rate and the market price is automatically transferred to the bank account of the consumer, when he or she makes the first booking for a cylinder.
    • For Government: This scheme will  prevent the unauthorised sale of LPG cylinders at higher rates. The purchase of multiple gas connections will be reduced.
    • For oil marketing companies: They will be in direct contact with their consumers, thereby building a good customer relationship.

What are the new Norms for NBFCs set up by RBI?

  • As per new norms, full KYC updation procedure will be required to be done at least every 10 years for low risk category  and at least every 8 years for medium risk individuals and entities. For  the high-risk individuals and entities, it should be done in at least every 2 yrs.

 Which Bank has launched India’s first non-contact Credit and Debit card?

  • ICICI Bank – These cards are based on NFC technology and don’t require swiping. These cards only need to waved at POS for making payments.

 

 What do you know about JAN DHAN YOJANA? Why was it in news last month?

  • It is scheme launched by Govt. of Indiafor Financial Inclusion to ensure access to financial services, namely, Banking/ Savings & Deposit Accounts, Remittance, Credit, Insurance, Pension in an affordable manner.
  •  Its  goal is to eradicate financial untouchability of the poor by opening at least one bank account for every family in the country. It seeks to financially empower the poor by providing them access to formal banking system.
  • Special Benefits under PMJDY Scheme
    1. Interest on deposit.
    2. Accidental insurance cover of Rs.1.00 lac
    3. No minimum balance required.
    4. Life insurance cover of Rs.30,000/-
    5. Easy Transfer of money across India
    6.  Direct Benefit Transfer in these accounts.
    7. After satisfactory operation of the account for 6 months, an overdraft facility of 5000/- will be permitted.

Banks were chosen based on their efficiency.

Two parameters were chosen to find efficiency parameters of all PSBs:

1. weighted average of return on assets (ROA). 2. return on equity (ROE) during the last financial year.

  1. I had my interview for ibps so 2015 it officer on 18th. My interview started at 10 in the morning. I was 3rd in the list.

    There were 6 people in my panel. 5 male members and 1 female.

    language used: English and hindi both. First they started asking in eng so I replied in eng. Then they asked certain questions in hindi to which I replied in hindi.

    Questions:
    1. What Is the current bank rate?
    2. What is Pahal?
    3. Role of it in DBT?
    4. My b.tech project?
    5. Home district – good and bad thing?
    6. My future plans?
    7. Current job
    8. Why I want to leave it (here they tried to confuse me as I currently work in accenture)
    9. Payment gateways
    10. Plastic money
    11. Network models
    12. Transaction concurrency control

    overall , it went fine. I think more depends on the written score. Hope they declare the result soon.
