A centre of excellence would be established for dairy farms and training in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The centre will be built at a cost of Rs. 44.12 crore. The Central Government had approved construction of modern dairy farms and training centres at various places in the state. The dairy farms to be built under the centre would have the facility of keeping 400 milch animals along with modern machines.
The Himachal Pradesh government would be providing training to 50,000 farmers in 2019-20. Chief Secretary BK Agarwal on 5th August 2019 informed about this and said the state Block-level camps would be organised in all districts during this period.
