The tribe
Bru, also called as as Reang, tribals inhabit parts of some Northeastern states. In Mizoram, Brus are largely restricted to Mamit and Kolasib districts.

In 1995, following a clash between Mizos and Brus, the Young Mizo Association and Mizo Students’ Association demanded the  Brus to be removed from the state’s electoral rolls, contending the fact that the tribe was not indigenous to Mizoram.

A large number of Bru tribal families fled to North Tripura. Around 30,000 members, were given shelter in six relief camps in Kanchanpur and Panisagar subdivisions.

In July 2018, the Home Ministry announced that a “historic agreement” had been signed among the governments of Mizoram and Tripura and the Mizoram Bru Displaced People’s Forum. it brought to an end a 21-year wait for over 32,000 Bru tribals, who had been displaced from their home state Mizoram and were living in Tripura.

Statement 2 is incorrect as the Pamba River is the third longest river in the state of Kerala after Periyar and Bharathappuzha. It is  the longest river in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore.

Sabarimala temple which is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa is located on the banks of the river Pamba.

River Pamba is also known as ‘Dakshina Bhageerathi’ and during ancient times it was called ‘River Baris’.
