1. Subhash Ghising, the President of Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF), died.
   • He was the person who started the Gorkhaland movement (GNLF) in the 1980s for a creation of a separate Gorkhaland State by carving out North Bengal’s Darjeeling district.
2. Malayalam actor Mala Aravindan died.
3. Australian golfer Kelvin David George Nagle died.
4. Hockey Olympian Jaswant Singh Rajput died. He was part of Indian hockey team that won gold medal in 1948 London and 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
5. Legendary cartoonist R K Laxman died. One of the post-Independence India’s greatest caricaturists was the creator of The Common Man which was published in Times of India newspaper.
6. Saudi Arabia King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz died.
7. Paladugu Venkata Rao, former Minister of Andhra Pradesh, died.
8. Veteran freedom fighter Ghelubhai Naik passed away.
9. Legendary Odia actor Hara Patnaik died.
10. Actor and comedian Taylor Negron died.
