Three cyclists from Shimla have made history by making it to the Churdhar Peak (3,700 m). Churdhar Peak is the highest mountain of the Shivalik range.

The three lads represented the Hero Action team. They rode from Shimla to Churdhar and back to Sarain in Chopal over a span of two days.

The team included two-time national champion Akshit Gaur (19), national bronze medallist Ashish Sherpa (18) and team manager Ashish Sood (33).

The route that the team followed was Shimla-Kufri-Fagu-Cheog-Neri bridge-Pulbahal-Lihat-Madhan -Churdhar and back from Churdhar-Madhan-Sarain-Chopal.

About Churdhar Peak:

THE enchanting Churdhar peak in Sirmaur is one of the highest Peak of Shivalik ranges at a height of 11965 feet. Churdhar, commonly known as Churichandni (Bangle of Snow), is blessed with some of the most spectacular and beautiful landscapes in this region. Below the peak is the deodar-roofed, single-storey, square temple of Srigul with a lingam, dedicated to Shiva (Chooreshwar Mahadev).
