HPAS Prelims 2014 Expected Cut off:

Please share your experience and opinions about the  HPAS Prelims 2014 conducted on 7th June 2015 by HPPSC at various centres in the state. Did you find the exam Easy or tough? How many marks are you expecting in the HPAS Prelims 2014 ? What do you think will be the cut-off? What was the number of attempts in both papers? The Last Date for HPAS 2014 form submission is over. And HPPSC can anytime come up with the date for Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Prelim Examination. It is very common to have doubts about the syllabus, pattern, study material etc. for the HPAS- 2014  Prelims especially in the minds of candidates appearing for the very first time.

So lets consolidate our efforts and help each other by discussing the doubts and the solutions of these doubts. Everybody is welcomed here to update their preparation status and raise any doubts if there is any. And the Experienced candidates are requested to share their knowledge and experience.

Also, there is a rumor going on that HPAS prelims might be conducted in April 2015. There is no official confirmation on this. So, nothing can be said with full conformity. But HPPSC has the habit of giving surprises to candidates. So, It is better to take it seriously.

One more thing: Change in the syllabus of HPAS mains will be in effect from next year only. So, this year candidates have to prepare for two optionals.

HPAS-2014 date fixed for 7th June 2014 [ UPDATE]:

HPPSC has declared the date for HPAS Prelims examination. It will be conducted on 7th June 2015 at various centres in Himachal Pradesh. Check this HPAS – 2014 Exam Date notification  for details.

It will be conducted in two sessions:

General Studies in Morning — 10 a.m to 12 a.m

Aptitude Test in Afternoon — 2 p.m to 4 p.m

All the candidates should bring the Admit Cards with them to the centre and also follow the instructions given in the Admit Card.

Some of the important instructions are as follows:

1. Only Blue or Black Ball pint pen to be used. No use of pencil.

2. 100 questions in each paper. Duration is 2 hours.

3. There will be negative marking (one-third marks) for evry wrong answer.

HPAS-2014 Admit Card Download [UPDATE]:

HPPSC has uploaded the ADMIT CARDS for HPAS-2014 examination. The candidates need to login to HPPSC website and download the Admit cards which are required to sit for the examination on 7th June 2015. Also, for some reason, HPPSC still continues the practice of pasting a photograph which is attested by a Gazetted officer, on the Admit card. So, students will have to take out some time from the preparation schedule and waste their time in getting the photograph attested as well.
