The Himachal Pradesh government would be providing training to 50,000 farmers in 2019-20.
Chief Secretary BK Agarwal on 5th August 2019 informed about this and said the state Block-level camps would be organised in all districts during this period. He was Presiding over a meeting of the state-level task force for the promotion of zero-budget natural farming under the ‘Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kisan’ scheme.
About 2,669 farmers had switched to natural farming last year in Himachal Pradesh while more than 15,000 farmers were encouraged to adopt natural farming during the training camps organised last year. Natural farming has proved to be an effective alternative for the farmers of the state.
