The government of Himachal Pradesh has appointed Mr Shrikant Baldi as the new Chief Secretary of State. Baldi will replace Mr B K Agarwal incumbent Chief Secretary and will have a short four-month stint as he is due to retire on December 3, 2019.

The State Cabinet while appreciating Agarwal’s contribution in policy framing also wished him well for his new posting as the secretary to Lokpal. Baldi will also simultaneously hold charge of the housing, tourism and civil aviation departments.
